Mastering The Second Half LLC is a Broadcasting & Media Production Company based in Miami, Florida. It primarily operates a YouTube channel which is a 50+ Lifestyle Show that focuses on Adventure, Motivation, and Experiences. Hosted by Rick Higgins, the channel highlights opportunities and personal examples of living the best we can after a certain age.

Rick was born in Alexandria, Virginia in 1961 and currently resides … everywhere! (He’s on a multi-year wandering sabbatical). He has two adult children and is in a committed relationship. Aside from YouTube, his passions include volunteerism, adventure travel, motorcycles. and generally anything else that could possibly get him into trouble.

Our target audience is comprised primarily of couples and individuals who are interested in opportunities now that they’re no longer focusing on careers, the day-to-day raising of families, and other aspects of their previous lives. They are aged 50+, have achieved higher education, and are financially secure.

They may be planning on specific travel and activities but are open to other opportunities, and they enjoy the overall experience of possibility. They tend to be more adventurous than most and lean primarily towards centrist and liberal politics. They are deeply interested in self-improvement as well as gaining a deep understanding of other cultures, and how their lives impact others.

CONTENT

Videos, while often based on a location, tend to be story-based. Combining life lessons and personal examples in the context of travel and other activities. Viewers want to know more than just what to do, they want to learn more about themselves and the greater world while doing so.

They also want a trusted “friend” who can be their surrogate. They want to feel a connection. They want to experience the emotions of the transition into the next phase of their lives and feel like they have a close example of someone like themselves.

ZERO-100 • A CREATORS JOURNEY with Rick Higgins

There are a gazillion channels telling one how to grow as a new YouTube Creator, but not so many telling you what it’s like to actually do it. It sounds so easy, doesn’t it? Simply do X, Y, and Z in that order and millions of subscribers will be heading your way! Well … maybe yes and maybe (probably) no. Sadly, a lot of these channels have moved so far past their own initial stages that they can only look through the lens of their own success. Something the rest of us are still seeking. But there is hope.

Zero-100 is our secondary channel chronicling our journey from a small YouTube entity into a successful brand. 

TARGET AUDIENCE

Our target audience is primarily comprised of small and new YouTube Creators who are also struggling to gain traction with their channels. They are trying to learn via online “experts” but are not always seeing the gains they hoped for. YouTube is a lonely place for new creators so they are looking for real-world experiences and like-minded folks to compare journeys.
